Dr. Strange-George Mandel (?)-1940

By the hoary hosts of Hoggoth and the shimmering shards of Dormammu's shish-kabob, here we have a story of the one and only Golden Age Dr. Strange...although he's really a version of Doc Savage...and he sorta/kinda becomes Tom Strong a few decades later.

So let's ask the implicit question: What did Dr. Strange do with Maglio?

Strange decides to leave the police out of the matter, and then proceeds to kill most of the villains. I don't, personally, have a problem with all that private-sector homicide, but state officials would. (They seek a monopoly in violence.) Subsequently taking Maglio to them would seem especially ill-advised.

The easiest and simplest way to get Maglio off the cliff-side would have been to pull him free and let him drop, but Dr. Strange declares that Maglio, by talking, has saved himself; and it's not really plausible that Strange were lying.

Doc Savage, of course, would have taken Maglio to upstate New York, performed delicate brain surgery on him, and made him into an agent for good. But I don't recall Dr. Strange having such inclinations or facilities.
