Krazy Kat-Dan Gormley-1953

This is not your father's KRAZY KAT. George Herriman's now-classic comic strip from the early part of the 20th Century famously attracted intellectual acolytes and fans but ended with its creator's death a decade earlier than this 1953 Dell FOUR-COLOR story. Artist Dan Gormley (and writer John Stanley maybe?) gave a major revamp to the stylishly eccentric and surreal original's style. In context, it seems now a poor choice but taken on its own this is a fun and nicely drawn story.
